Oxygen makes coffee stale and robs your cup of its full aromatic potential. Atmos removes air, moisture and odours to prevent your beans from prematurely aging, extending their freshness by up to 50% longer. The stainless steel in Matte Black or Matte White provides additional protection from the sun's rays, which are the enemy of flavour.
With its built-in vacuum pump, everything happens inside the lid, so there are no separate accessories to search for. Simply twist the lid back and forth to extract the air inside and watch the vacuum indicator change: a green ring will appear when the vacuum is activated. Once locked, the system prevents oxidation and extends the life of your coffee beans and other dry goods. An airtight silicone seal blocks out air, moisture, odors and other unwanted contaminants.
When you're ready to use the contents of your Atmos, simply press the release button to release the air and restore normal pressure.
Don’t limit the Atmos to coffee! You can store cereal, nuts, cookies, candy, or any other food that would benefit from air protection. However, avoid putting fine powders (like flour or ground coffee) in it. This could clog the vacuum lid and void the warranty.
Designed to maintain a vacuum for approximately 3-4 days, Atmos is ideal for storing your coffee beans for consumption within a week. It is not designed for long-term storage. As your beans degas, the seal level may decrease and require re-sealing. The speed of degassing depends on the type of coffee, its roast and its freshness. In short, the less gas, the longer your Atmos will stay sealed.
Technical characteristics
- Choose between two colors (Matte Black or Matte White) and three sizes:
- 400 ml box: holds up to 170 g (6 oz) of coffee beans.
- 700 ml box: holds up to 280 g (10 oz) of coffee beans.
- 1200 ml box: holds up to 450 g (16 oz) of coffee beans.
- Do not place the Atmos upside down when it contains food.
- Avoid storing fine powders (flour, ground coffee, etc.), which could clog the lid.
- Not dishwasher safe, hand wash only.
